THE COMPANY

HISTORY

CIVILIA S.A. was founded on April 29, 1975 in Bogotá, Colombia, with the objective of building concrete structures and performing all related activities associated to the construction industry.
In 1976, the company expanded its activity to the Caribbean Region of Colombia where it constructed several projects for the Fondo Rotatorio Nacional. These projects included the Submarine Dock Facility (Cartagena de Indias) and the Laboratories and Silos for the Neptuno Infrastructure Plan (Cartagena de Indias – Isla Tierra Bomba).
Later in 1991, CIVILIA S.A. entered the construction market in the department of Valle del Cauca with the residential project Multifamiliares la Base (Cali) and in 2000 the Coffee Region with the construction of several projects including the Blood Bank for the Colombian Red Cross (Armenia), the Culture House for FENAVIP (Calarcá) and the Pereira Library for the Colombian Central Bank (Pereira). In 2013 the company expanded its activity to the Eastern Region of Colombia with the construction of several vehicular bridges for the Highway Bogota-Villavicencio, including Highway Bridge Quetame, Highway Bridge Pipiral and Highway Bridge Susumuco which were built using the cast-in-place segmental construction method.
Today, CIVILIA S.A. has construction projects in a variety of regions in Colombia and maintains a leadership position in the construction market thanks to its commitment to project quality and client satisfaction.
